Welcome to JOY (Jotting Our Yesterdays). By accessing or using our mobile application and marketing site (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Description of Service
JOY is a private memory-keeping application allowing users to create shared digital jars and write memory jots. The Service is provided by the JOY team through our hosted cloud systems.
2. Account Registration & Security
- You must register a valid account to use the application.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account details and password.
- You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
3. User-Generated Content & Ownership
You retain all rights and ownership to the text, images, and other contents you drop into your jars. By posting content, you grant JOY a limited, non-exclusive license to process and display that content solely for the purpose of presenting it to you and the authorized members of your jar.
You agree not to upload content that is abusive, defamatory, obscene, or infringes on any copyright or intellectual property rights.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
JOY is a private space intended for personal, non-commercial memory-keeping. Scraping, reverse engineering, attempting to compromise our server security, or abusing database limits is strictly prohibited and will lead to account suspension.
5. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. While we do our best to maintain database integrity and regular backups, we cannot guarantee that the Service will be completely error-free or uninterrupted.
6. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material alterations, we will notify you through the app interface or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
